With the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the establishment of the Equal Employment Opportunities Commission, validation of employment tests became a critical issue to employee selection. PSP was well positioned to meet this requirement; we had been validating tests and selection procedures since the early 1950's as a matter of good professional practice.

Indeed, PSP provided expert testimony to the federal government on the creation of the Uniform Guidelines for Employee Selection Procedures. Because of our many years of work in the field of validation, PSP knows what types of employment tests are appropriate for a wide range of jobs, and our cumulative research has given an extremely important asset to our company - an extensive proprietary database of test norms based on educational level, occupation, and the Department of Labor census breakdowns.

Our database, as well as our comprehensive experience, allows us to produce defensible solutions to selection problems quickly. PSP's selection methods are also in compliance with both the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Civil Rights Act of 1991.
