Organizational Development
Organizational Development (OD) is the use of behavioral science principles to improve an
organization's effectiveness in reaching its goals. OD is a planned process, often undertaken
at a time when an organization needs to make a major change. In OD, the focus for change is
the group rather than the individual.
PSP's OD services begin with the assessment of an organization's strengths, weaknesses,
opportunities and threats (SWOT Analysis) in the light of its stated goals. Then, interventions
are designed to accelerate an organization's progress toward those goals.
PSP's OD interventions include such activities as team building, supervisory and management
training, successor development programs, performance reward programs, and leadership
development programs.
